The philosophy of the firm is built around the
concept of contextual design, wherein new buildings are carefully fit into the
existing landscape and built environment surrounding the project, and are seen
as a part of a larger fabric, rather than as architectural monuments in and of
themselves.
Awards
This philosophy has created a level of design
excellence that is the foundation of the firmÃs work. Victor Conforti, Architect
has received over a dozen awards from the Sonoma League for Historic
Preservation for public and private projects, honoring new buildings as well as
historic preservation projects; Napa Chamber of Commerce Civic Improvement Award
for the design of the Napa Fire Station #3; feature articles in national
professional publications for the Sonoma Mission Inn Spa; and for custom
energy-efficient residential design.
