Mr. Conforti is a graduate with
honors of the School of Environmental Design, University of California at
Berkeley, 1968. Following formal training, he had three years experience in
Laguna and Newport Beach, California, designing office, restaurant, and
residential work, under the direction of Lamont Langworthy, celebrated architect
in Laguna Beach, and William Ware & Associates. During schooling and in his
youth, Mr. Conforti worked as a carpenter, training himself with first-hand,
hard-won knowledge of the practical side of building and the realities of the
construction industry.
Professional Practice
Victor Conforti formed his own
architectural firm in 1972, opening his office in Sonoma and providing
architecture tailored to local needs, heritage, and environment, as well as
cost-conscious construction practices. He has been one of the leading
architectural professionals in the area, having designed many of the prominent
buildings in the Sonoma area, including numerous civic as well as commercial
projects, all in harmony with the local historical architectural character. The
firm produces design and construction documents by computer, including
3-D modeling.
